Optima Camelview Village in Scottsdale was honored as one of the Top 18 Architectural Achievements in Arizona by the American Institute of Architects and AZRE magazine. It was designed by architect David Hovey, owner of Optima in Scottsdale, and his Optima team. Optima also has an office in Glencoe, Ill. Optima Camelview, a 15-acre resort-style community, features 11 buildings ranging from six to seven stories high, with more than 21 acres of green roofs throughout the community that create a decreased ambient temperature of up to 10 degrees, helping combat the urban heat island effect. Each home features tinted UV glass that is slightly reflective to help with both Arizona sun and privacy.
