Optima Kierland Center, the well-known high-rise luxury condominium and rental community in Scottsdale, announced today that they have broken ground on the second phase of condominium homes for sale at the award-winning development with an expected completion date of 2020.

Located at Scottsdale Road and Kierland Boulevard, the first condominium tower of Optima Kierland, 7120 E. Kierland, far exceeded sales expectations and is already 95 percent sold with more than 90% of the homes closed. Home prices for the first phase ranged from the $300s to more than $6.5 million.

“Optima buyers tell us that the ability to combine and customize floor plans is a huge selling point, so we have taken that to the next level in this second condominium tower,” said David Hovey Jr., president of Optima, the project architect and developer. “Customization is the primary focus – floor-to-floor, wall-to-wall – if you can dream it, we will make it happen. Living in a high-rise condominium does not limit the ability to create your custom dream home when you live at Optima Kierland Center.”

The newest building, located at 7180 E. Kierland, will feature 202 homes across 12 stories plus an exclusive rooftop Skydeck amenity space with pools, spa and running track. Floorplans range from approximately 776 – 2,704 square feet, and uniquely, residences can be combined both vertically and horizontally to create larger floor plans to suit their individual needs and desires.

“Many of our existing residents from the first tower, 7120 E. Kierland, are planning to purchase an additional home in the second tower, which was a pleasant surprise,” said Hovey. “That, along with pent up the demand for larger and custom residences that we were unable to accommodate due to selling out in the first building so quickly, has left us with an interest list of more than 5,000 potential residents for this next tower.”

Optima Kierland’s extensive amenities — exclusive and private for homeowners in this tower – are conveniently located within the condominium tower. Residents will have access to two rooftop lap pools and spa, a rooftop running track, a rooftop yoga room, a movie theater, golf simulator, basketball court, party room, conference and business center, cold plunge pool, world-class fitness center, massage room and a steam room and sauna.

“Living in the heart of Kierland – the prime spot to be in Scottsdale – has been one of the best decisions we could have made,” said Patty Ruziska, resident of Optima Kierland. “We can walk to world-class restaurants, shopping and are close to everywhere we want to be. We have all the luxury amenities we could want right here within our building.”

The property is located in the heart of north Scottsdale’s urban core, surrounded by upscale shopping and dining destinations such as Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Quarter, and several neighboring golf clubs including the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa.
